Red Cross & Nurses

In this picture are a mix of Army Nurses and Civilian Red Cross personnel. Building 53 on the camp housed the female civilian volunteers.

HQ & Officers

This is the headquarters / administration building (now the offices of the Heads of the Valleys vehicle training center), officers on parade. the flagpole position is now covered by the large bush.

Looks as though it was a chilly day.

All the Fun of the Event

Mascots and chearleaders all make the event more enjoyable.
In the background you can see Baliau Farm. Local civilians, including children were also present.

Notice the crowds lining the touchline.
To the left of the crowd there are a lot of coloured US troops, probably from the US Quatermaster Corps billeted at the nearby Glanbaiden Camp.

It is possible that the right hand lady on the left picture is 2nd Lt. Omega Gasper N735040 (Nurse General Duties).
The Nurse on the Left is possibly N783627 Imogene Mosby (Nurse General Duties)
It has been suggested that the middle ladies name is Rosemary ? but there is no Rosemary on any of the rosters I have.
